Bureau Carriers
We use the term "Bureau Carriers" for our smaller Shaker divided carriers.   These carriers are designed to fit inside our oval boxes, swing handle carriers, etc.   But they have found a larger use as bureau, nightstand, end table, and bathroom accessories.   We learn of people using them to hold all of the remote controls for the den or smaller ones holding candy snacks on the end table.   In the bathroom they hold soaps and other toiletries.   We never cease to be amazed at the uses people have for these oval carriers. Our Shaker reproduction and Shaker inspired products are made in the traditional manner.   Each item is individually crafted and no two are ever exactly alike.   The swallowtails are held together with copper tacks made on a machine that was making tacks over 100 years ago.   Our finishing process is described in our article Shaker Wood Finishes .   But before you purchase, please read our Philosophy on Milk Painting and check out our Milk Paint Colors .
