Button Boxes 
These carriers were originally designed for utilitarian purposes. Today they are used primarily as table accessories; holding eating utensils or seasonal decorations. They can also be found in guest bathrooms holding soap, shampoo, and hand towels for those overnight guests. While we do make three smaller versions of the Shaker divided carrier, the traditional size 7 is our best seller. The smaller divided carriers are listed under "Bureau Carriers".
Unless otherwise requested, your #7 Shaker Divided Carrier will come with the inscription "Hands to work, Heart to God" on the front side of the handles. Other requestion engravings include ones such as "Thoma Family Est. 1970" or other similar engravings. If requesting non-standard engraving, please allow and additional 10 days for delivery.
Our Shaker reproduction and Shaker inspired products are made in the traditional manner. Each item is individually crafted and no two are ever exactly alike. The swallowtails are held together with copper tacks made on a machine that was making tacks over 100 years ago. Our finishing process is described in our article Shaker Wood Finishes . Shipping and handling will be calculated at checkout and are not included in the product pricing shown on this page. Shipping and handling for our Shaker Bentware is generally $12.50 per order, regardless of the size of the order. Tennessee residents will be charged state and local sales tax upon checkout.
