Shaker Music Boxes
Our music boxes are modifications of our #1 Shaker oval box, #2 Shaker oval box and #2 Shaker presentation box.   The boxes have been modified to include an Sankyo 18 note music movement and the box bottom has been thickened to act as a sounding board.   Our #2 and #2P Shaker Music Boxes have been partioned to allow space for jewelry or keepsakes; making this a truely multi-purpose gift. Currently our standard music tunes are "Amazing Grace", "Brahms Lullaby", "Ding, Dong The Wicked Witch", "Friends", and "Greensleeves".   These tunes are available only in our #2 Shaker Oval Box; and unless otherwise requested come standard with the tune "Amazing Grace".   Our #1 Shaker Music Box and #2P Shaker Music Box are available only with the tune "Tis a Gift to be Simple"; and are priced with this music movement.   If you would like this classical Shaker Tune in our #2 Shaker Music Box then there will be an additional charge of $4.00. We have provided a normal combination of band and box top woods for you to select from.   However, our sizes #1 and #2 music boxes have a much wider selection of top woods from which to choose.   To inquire which woods might be available either email or call us. Our Shaker reproduction and Shaker inspired products are made in the traditional manner.   Each item is individually crafted and no two are ever exactly alike.   The swallowtails are held together with copper tacks made on a machine that was making tacks over 100 years ago.   Our finishing process is described in our article Shaker Wood Finishes .   But before you purchase, please read our Philosophy on Milk Painting and check out our Milk Paint Colors . Shipping and handling will be calculated at checkout and are not included in the product pricing shown on this page.   Shipping and handling for our Shaker Bentware is generally $12.50 per order, regardless of the size of the order.   Tennessee residents will be charged state and local sales tax upon checkout.
