Shaker Tissue Box Holders 
This is another adaptation of form to function. The Shaker communities never made tissue box holders - no tissues back then. Our adaption derives from making oval Shaker boxes. We use either the #3 or #4 box, make it taller and put an oval hole in the center. Our #3 Shaker Style Tissue Box Holder (box on the right in the picture) is designed to hold the new oval tissue boxes manufactured by Kleenex®. Their boxes are approximately 5 7/8 inches long and 3 7/8 inches wide. Our #4 Shaker Style Tissue Box Holder will hold the standard 4 1/2 inch square tissue boxes.
Our Shaker reproduction and Shaker inspired products are made in the traditional manner. Each item is individually crafted and no two are ever exactly alike. The swallowtails are held together with copper tacks made on a machine that was making tacks over 100 years ago. Our finishing process is described in our article Shaker Wood Finishes .
