Associations

We are a member of the Tennessee Association of Craft Artists and a member of the local State of Franklin chapter. The TACA is a statewide, independent, non-profit organization founded in 1965 to encourage, develop and promote crafts and craftspeople in Tennessee.

TACA is respected for its juried craft fairs, exhibitions of Tennessee fine craft, workshops in professional and business development, educational outreach programs, activities of regional chapters,newsletters, an annual Directory, and a mentoring program through which members share their experience with others.

TACA is an independent, not-for-profit corporation, not a state agency as the name may suggest. It is funded through member dues, proceeds from its fairs, corporate sponsorship, underwriting, contributions and grants.

I am a juried member of the Foothills Craft Guild. The Foothills Craft Guild is the oldest artisan's guild in Tennessee, chartered in 1968.   Guild members are committed to the highest standards of workmanship and to conducting educational programs and craft demonstrations.   The Guild preserves traditional crafts of the region and showcases the newest trends and developments in the craft world at large.
