Engraving

We offer engraving services for most of our Shaker bentware products.   If you can find the type style that you like on your computer, we can, likely, engrave in that style.   By default, we will use the Harrington font family.   Some dark woods, such as walnut, will not engrave well.   The laser burns the wood to produce the engraving and the burnt wood is similar in color to walnut woods.   Most milk painted Shaker bentware products are dramatically enhanced by laser engraving.   We can also engrave on on the curved sides or handles of our Shaker bentware offerings.   In this case the engraving is done BEFORE the box or carrier is made; so allow extra time for this style of engraving.

Simple two dimensional graphic designs can also be engraved.   Our "Tree of Life" boxes shown on the left are example of such designs.   If you have a graphic that you wish to try, send it to us and we will let you know whether we can engrave your graphic designs.   Most corporate logos work quite well.   Remember, most graphic designs and all corporate logs are protected by law from unauthorized reproduction, so we will ask for a release letter.

Costs are $1.50 per word and $3.00 per date, while logos or graphic designs are priced individually, but are in the range of #3.00 to $5.00.   Engraved items are considered commissioned pieces and are not available through our online store; so instead drop us a line or phone call.
