NEW for 2011 are our redesigned spool holders.   These holders are found in many of our sewing boxes and now we are selling them separately.   They have been redesigned to use 1/8" brass rods rather than 1/4" wooden dowels for the spool holder rods.   This allows for acceptance of more modern thread spools.   The rods themselves have been elongated to accept taller thread spools.   Our size #5 Spool Holder will accomdate 18 spools of thread, while our size #6 Spool Holder will accomodate 16 spools of thread and a pin cushion.   Twenty-eight spools of thread can be placed on our largest size #7 Spool Holder. In the 1800s sewing and knitting, "the domestic arts", was practiced by most women and young ladies.   Today it is still a popular art medium.   Our tall round cup is designed to hold scissors, pencils, screwdrivers, and other sewing tools.   We have also designed and craft a Shaker Scissors Box that holds embroidery scissors.   This box is engraved with the word "Scissors" on the box top and come in a very large selection of top woods.   And as a bonus it contains a pair of embroidery scissors.   Our most popular sewing accessory is our needle boxes.   These boxes contain a magnetic strip for keep those pesky needles in the box even when you drop it.   But most people fall in love with those exotic tops.   Call us or send us an email to see what we have in stock.   Our last accessory is our Shaker Sewing Thread Box, engraved with "Thread" on the top.
